Cannabinoid Separation Using LPH-C18
Description:
The cannabis industry has a been a rapidly growing field all over the world with many different rules and regulations to follow. QC testing for cannabinoids is essential for the accurate labeling of products in both medicinal and recreational cannabis markets. High pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) systems coupled with a UV detector has become the gold standard when testing for the potency of these cannabinoids. A low pH compatible, 90 Å, superficially porous particle C18 phase is introduced as an addition to the chromatographer’s toolbox. This sterically protected ligand enables low pH mobile phases (pH 1) to be used without sacrificing column retention loss over time. This reversed phase column is available in both 2 and 2.7 µm particle sizes and is designed for a wide range of small molecule applications including cannabinoids. The 90 Å LPH-C18 is a great option for the cannabis potency test showing baseline resolution between critical pairs, high stability, and excellent lot-to-lot reproducibility.
